The key principals of the Queensland team are Property Law Specialist Jeremy Streten, and Valuer Phil Peterson. Both have extensive experience in the resumptions process and negotiating with Government authorities to obtain the best possible outcomes for property owners.
Jeremy Streten

With over 23 years’ experience as a lawyer, Jeremy specialises in all things property law, including resumptions, and acting for clients in high-end property and business transactions.
He is also the author of Amazon Best Seller “The Business Legal Lifecyle.”
Experience includes
- 8 years with a city law firm
- 11 years with a business partner in SMS Law
- three years as director of Northern Property and Resumption Lawyers
- and now a partner in Resumption Experts.

Phil founded Peterson Property Valuations in the 1980s, which operates in south east Queensland. An accredited valuer, he and the team are registered with the Valuers Registration Board of Qld.
He has also worked with a large commercial developer and in the South East Queensland State Government, which has given him a deep understanding of the many facets of property valuations.
As a Director of Resumption Experts, Phil and his team test the validity of the Government’s valuation by conducting independent research. After assessing all the property’s unique assets, similar property valuations in the area, and local influencing factors, they deliver a thoroughly researched assessment and accurate valuation.
